The Friends of Southampton Town Youth (FOSTY) is a community based, non-profit corporation. The corporation is formed for the charitable purpose of providing direct financial aid to programs that support the youth of the Town of Southampton (TOS), New York.
Our Purpose & Goals
Friends of Southampton Town Youth’s purpose is to raise and distribute funds for programs and projects that promote positive youth development in the Town of Southampton, New York.
The specific objectives and purpose of this organization shall be:
To support the youth of the Town of Southampton to achieve their full potential at school, work, and in all aspects of their lives by providing direct financial support for youth programs within the Town of Southampton that meet but are not limited to the following objectives:
- Promote development of job and life skills,
- Support attendance at youth-oriented facilities within the town,
- provide access to low-cost transportation,
- Support participation in trips, programs and activities both locally and regionally after school, on weekends and on school breaks,
- Promote participation in theater arts groups and programs,
- Support participation in the TOS Youth Court which trains youth to be lawyers, judges and jurors in a court for, of and by the town youth
- Promote engagement in community service projects.
Our Mission
Friends of Southampton Town Youth Bureau is a 501c3 corporation in Southampton Town, NY, whose mission is to support youth living within the Township in achieving their full potential at school, in the community, and other aspects of their lives. FOSTY provides scholarships to Southampton Town residents under the age of 19 who would like to participate in youth programs that enhance life skills, promote self-confidence, and develop leadership and problem solving skills to use through their adult life.
All donations made to FOSTY are directly used to provide scholarships to offset program fees for qualifying youth who cannot afford admission or registration for programs and events.
